Who Are We?
St Michael’s is an inclusive Christian community at the heart of Headingley, seeking to follow to Jesus Christ, and grow in our love of him and each other. We welcome everyone, believing every person is precious to God and has something good to contribute to our life together. We seek to join in with God’s good work in this community and across our city through: worship, prayer, community events, regular groups and activities, hospitality, and supporting charities and churches in other areas of Leeds.
All of this requires resources. It costs approximately £125,000 a year, or £2400 a week, to fund the church and its work. * We rely on the generosity of good people like you to enable this ministry to happen.

What Do We Do?
We hold regular public worship and share our faith with those seeking God. We teach and encourage people of all ages and backgrounds on their journey of faith, and believe in an inclusive church. We are here for our community supporting them through life events such as funerals, weddings and baptisms.
We have a beautiful church and parish centre to maintain for the benefits of both the church community and the wider local community.
We would like to work with partners to develop the churchyard into a green space for everyone in Headingley to enjoy.
We are combatting loneliness and fostering friendships across all age groups.
We offer a caring church community where all are welcomed to give and receive love, care, fellowship and support.
We support our local schools with teaching and understanding the Christian faith. And we work with partners of different religions to improve children’s understanding of major faiths in the UK.

Parish Giving Scheme (our preferred way for people to give)
One-Off Donations and Regular Giving
The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a new, safe, and free (for both you and St. Michael’s) way to help you give a one-off donation or set up regular giving to St. Michael’s. PGS allows you to ‘Gift Aid’ your donations and, if you choose, to automatically be given the option to increase your regular giving by inflation each year.
Leaving a Legacy
Once you have made provision for your loved ones, you have the opportunity to make a lasting gift to God, by leaving a legacy to His church. A gift in your Will to your local church is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can continue to support its mission and ministry within your community.

Another great way to help us raise funds is by subscribing to easyfundraising.
It’s a way of making online purchases from over 7000+ online shops and making free donations available to St. Michaels.
Easyfundraising is the UK’s biggest charity fundraising site. It makes a donation to a cause of your choice, if you shop online.
How does it work? Download the app or go the easyfundraising website, set up an account, select St Michaels and All Angels Headingley as your “cause”. When you shop, go to the app or easyfundraising website, and select a brand. You will be directed to the brand’s website. Shop as usual and we will receive a small percentage of the purchase. There is no extra cost to you!
